Happy 20th aniversary, Nevermind!

Nevermind the fact that it was actually yesterday.

On september 24th, 1991, Nirvana released the masterpiece that today is one of the most iconic records in the history of music. Smells like Teen Spirit, Come as You Are, Lithium, Polly, Something in the Way music played by angels. Only the angels wore bleached jeans and used shirts, forgot to shave for a few days and were a little bit stoned. But still.

One of Slash's projects back from when he was still a part of GnR. Original lineup also has GnR bandmates, drummer Matt Sorum and guitarist Gilby Clarke + Alice in Chains bassist Mike Inez + Jellyfish's Eric Dover as a lead vocalist.

Missing puzzle pieces

Tonight's music is played by Kings of Convenience, alternative rock/indie pop-folk (that's complicated) duo from Norway, Erlend Øye and Eirik Glambek Bøe, both singers and composers of their songs. I'm not exactly sure of how to pronounce their last names, but what I am sure of is that this is one of the cutest songs I've ever listened to.

P.S First day of school was really really actually quite nice. Huh.

I said no, no, no

Today I'm listening to Amy Winehouse. Enough with the "she has so many fans now that she's not around anymore" whatever, the girl's music stands somewhere right next to perfect, I say it now, I said that when I first heard her, from then on, and from now on. I don't care who she was, as a person, as I usually don't care about the private lives of the artists I listen to, no matter what she went through or what addiction she struggled with when she was alive, it made her write all those soulful masterpieces. And the age of 27 is probably the last thing she has in common with other musical legends such as Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Cobain and Jim Morrison, with musical value and originality standing way ahead, and one of the few nice things I can say about my generation is the fact that we had Amy Winehouse. Therefore, R.I.P, Amy. ♥
